An Award for the Project Supervised by Prof. Dr. Sumru Özsoy and Dr. Kadir Gökgöz
The project supervised by Kadir Gökgöz and A. Sumru Özsoy from the Department of Linguistics won first place at the Türkiye Accessibility Awards.
The project titled “Bilingual (Turkish and Turkish Sign Language) Reading Development Applications for Deaf Children Using Turkish Sign Language,” conducted under the supervision of Kadir Gökgöz and A. Sumru Özsoy from the Department of Linguistics and carried out by the Turkish Association of the Deaf with support from the Sabancı Foundation between 2019 and 2020, was completed at the end of 2020. The project was awarded first place in Türkiye through a public vote in the category of “Accessible Digital Applications” as part of the “Türkiye Accessibility Awards” organized by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services.
