One of Türkiye’s and the world’s leading historians, Prof. Dr. Zafer Toprak, passed away on June 3. His students, colleagues from academia, and loved ones gathered on June 5 at a ceremony held in the Albert Long Hall to commemorate Prof. Dr. Zafer Toprak, who made significant contributions to both Boğaziçi University and the field of history.

Former Chair of the Department of History and former Director of the Atatürk Institute for Modern Turkish History at Boğaziçi University, Prof. Dr. Zafer Toprak, was remembered with deep respect at the event. The ceremony was attended by his wife, Prof. Dr. Binnaz Toprak, retired faculty member of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Boğaziçi University, as well as former rectors and members of the academic community.
